Writer bio
Salaar Shamsi is a passionate sportswriter (who happens to be the World Football Community's Leader alongside Andrew McNair), while most of his contributions are aimed towards Football or Soccer, he often chooses to branch out with articles related to Cricket, Golf, Tennis and the NBA as well.
Salaar Shamsi was born in Pakistan but has traveled and lived in the United States, England, Singapore and Turkey.
Salaar traces memories of great clashes between Manchester United and Arsenal and often enjoys catching up with the best in the business.
Salaar has really enjoyed being a part of the B/R Team and has recently started recruiting new writers into the community, which he claims has been an enjoyable experience.
A reliable editor (or maybe not), Salaar Shamsi would like to pa...

Football has always been a huge part of my life and writing here on Bleacher Report is a huge pleasure. As the community leader of the World Football section for the last 10 months or so, I've seen it grow from the English Premier League section into the global debate it is today.
I'm proud of the role I played in that transition and will continue to support our good friend Salaar as he aims to take us further.
I've recently returned to Scotland from South Africa after 10 years in the football mad continent. I've been around professional football at many levels in South Africa but now persue a career writing about the beautiful game.
I also spent plenty of time at St Georges Park, Port Elizabeth working with some of the best cricketers in the world.
I'm presently continuing ...

Hi. I'm Shyam and I'm the co-Community Leader of Bleacher Report's Arsenal Community, along with Mary.
It has been a wonderful experience writing here and meeting like-minded individuals who love football. Bleacher Report is a great forum to experience one's views and opinions on different events, and I have enjoyed being a part of a burgeoning community here.
There are some talented writers here, but more importantly, there are some excellent editors as well.
Keep up the good work guys! Let's hope we grow and prosper together at Bleacher Report!
P.S. If you have any concerns about, or ideas for improving the Arsenal Community, do drop in a note in my bulletin board.
A special thanks to Community Director, Zander Freund, for all his work directed towards improving B/R!

Hello all!
I'm the Liverpool Community Leader for Bleacher Report, which obviously means I'm a huge Liverpool fan! I'm 17 and live in England. I like playing and watching most sports, mainly football, rugby, cricket and tennis.
I hope you enjoy my articles!
Also, remember to rate my articles with the stars they deserve (preferably 5!) and POTD's if the article's good enough!

I AM ON A 10-DAY LEAVE.
For those of you who don't know, I'm Thomas - that 18-year old American who lives and breathes soccer. Since joining the B/R, I've worked my way up to becoming a senior writer and one of the community leaders for the growing Major League Soccer page. The other community leader is Joe Guarr.
If you have any questions related to MLS let me or Joe know and we'll see what we can do. Keep comments and notes suitable for all ages. Thanks. I'm gonna be writing mostly about MLS and trying to get some exposure for it here on the B/R. I will write about other things occasionally also. I pretty much write about everything except NASCAR.
I recently became a writer on Soccercityfc.com, a small site dedicated to football. You can check it out by just clicking on the ...

Known as Michelle, some people like calling me Mich, or Micha, or Michu if they want to be really annoying. After almost what seemed like a lifetime of waiting, I turned 18 and chickened out. Yes I cancelled out my 18th birthday, thus I still remain 17. I have the right to be immature and annoying, yes I do!
I love argueing for fun, I love a good debate, so when I was 7 someone told me Manchester United was great and I wanted to pick a fight, I just looked up another team that was greater and found, guess what. Liverpool FC. After that I decided to watch them play, and fell in love instantly. I didn't really go Liverpool crazy till some time later, but I still thought there were better than anyone else. Then I find out my dad supports LFC, and my parents watched them play in Dubai ...

Hi folks,
I am Mary, proud Co-Community Leader of the Arsenal Community with Shyam.

There are many Arsenal series for all you Gooners to get involved in including: "Arsenal In..." where Gooners from all over the world tell us what Arsenal mean to their respective countries, "Arsenal: Where Are They Now?" where Shyam looks at where past Arsenal players are, "Arsenal Legends" with Joe Guarr and "Arsenal Ladies" where I keep everyone up to date with all the goings on with the Arsenal Ladies.
Any other suggestions and comments are greatly welcome.

I`m just bringing a Brazilian perspective to BR.
BR is the greatest because even though English isn`t my first language and my writing is horribly amateur, there are always very competent people around to edit my contributions and make them look like real articles.
I think it`s great that fans from all over the world can write what they think about sporting events, give opinions and share local knowledge.
Like I said in the beginning I am Brazilian so I guess it goes without saying that I worship football/soccer as do my 190 million countrymen. I`m into just about every league, tourney and brand in the world.

Born and raised in Oakland. I am a self-proclaimed baseball purist. I am a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan and basically half my wardrobe is orange and black. I listen to Giants games on the radio because that's how my dad taught me to do things and listening to Jon Miller and David B. Flemming talk about Shakespeare during any point of a game is priceless. I am a baseball prospect junkie and that means I read Baseball America usually more than I read my own textbooks.

Contrary to popular belief, I have no interest in AFL, Rugby League/Union or Cricket. My only love is football and I live and breathe this game every day. I never shy from giving a controversial opinion and love to stir up debates in anything related to this beautiful game. My initial skepticism of this community has given way to a belief that this site can transform into a place for 'serious journalism.'
I have contributed to numerous publications in Australia and Singapore. I try never to rewrite my lines as like Arundhati Roy, I believe that a writing style is deeply personal and subjective. It is a true reflection of how an individual feels a...

If you enjoy my views or my writing, please consider becoming a fan! (button's right above this sentence)
I discovered Bleacher Report on July 1st 2008.
Since joining, I've only become a bigger and bigger fan of the site. The community is fantastic (I love exchanging ideas with 'thinking fans'). I'd seriously encourage anyone with a sports opinion to join in the fun.
I'm from United Kingdom, England. 22 years old at time of writing. No journalistic or public writing experience. Just a "professional fan"...
I love football, tennis, and snooker (sadly not part of b/r). I’m more knowledgeable about football than tennis, snooker than football, and snooker than tennis (that's Snooker>Football>Tennis!). But I'm most passionate about my first love, football.
I've...

Massive Portsmouth FC supporter, I've been following the boys since our old first division days. A university student from America, I spend my days reading and writing about the English game, and am practically encyclopedic when it comes to player/club histories and statistics.
I've always had a passion for writing, and an even stronger passion for football. Everyone has their dream job, and I wish I could only have the opportunity to be able to write/work professionally for my club or a news site like Sky Sports, Rivals, ESPN, etc.
University work - particularly my thesis - keeps me pretty busy, but I write as often as I can about the topics I know and the things I care about.

I am 28-year old American Submarine veteran world football lover who is studying sports media, in a way, at the University here in the city (SF).
I am editing for Bleacher Report as an internship. Good times.
In addition to writing and editing, and playing soccer, I am also an amateur HAM radio operator and a part-time Karate instructor. Yeah.
I'd like to move to Italy in a few years, covering the Italian game for an English-speaking source, until breaking the shackles of wordplay and going directly into club operations somewhere, possibly scouting. They're all old geezers anyway. Gotta do what you love - ya know?
In addition to my writings here, I also supply more informal pieces to my blog at dioforce.blogspot.com.
Enjoy...

My name is Rafal Ladysz and I'm a journalism student at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. I've always liked writing about sports of any sort and this will serve me good for the future. Hockey, soccer and tennis are what I enjoy writing about most.
I'm a huge Buffalo Sabres fan, and the amount of heartbreaks this city has experienced is just unreal. Ilya Kovalchuk and Marian Gaborik are my two favourite players. I've had a few NHL articles published on CBS Sports and I'm really proud of that.
I'm Polish, and our soccer squad has been through quite a few disappointments of their own. In the end, I hope to become a sportswriter but it will be challenging.

Im 22 years old and live in Darwin, Australia. I'm a big fan of AFL and cricket, but my favourite sport is football. Its an exciting time to be a football fan in Australia at the moment, we've finally got a decent national league, and the Socceroo's are on track for a second consective World Cup. Where i live, there isnt a huge following of the world's most popular sport, so i've turned to the intenet, to communicate with fellow Football fanatics. I'm one eyed Liverpool, but am also very interested in all aspects of Australian football.

Manchester United and Germany fan since 1996. The first memories I have of football are Bierhoff's winners against the Czechs in the Euro 96 final and Beckhams half way line goal against Wimbledon. My football views are weird to say the least, ranges from Rooney is twice the player C.Ronaldo will ever be to Fletcher is already a United Legend and one of the most underrated midfielders in world football.
