Salaar's Bio

Salaar Shamsi is a passionate sportswriter (who happens to be the World Football Community's Leader alongside Andrew McNair), while most of his contributions are aimed towards Football or Soccer, he often chooses to branch out with articles related to Cricket, Golf, Tennis and the NBA as well.

Salaar Shamsi was born in Pakistan but has traveled and lived in the United States, England, Singapore and Turkey.

Salaar traces memories of great clashes between Manchester United and Arsenal and often enjoys catching up with the best in the business.

Salaar has really enjoyed being a part of the B/R Team and has recently started recruiting new writers into the community, which he claims has been an enjoyable experience.

A reliable editor (or maybe not), Salaar Shamsi would like to pay tribute to those who've helped him or have inspired him in any way.

He's enjoyed being in the company of writers like Andrew M, Andrew K, Shyam, Gerry, Alby, Jeff, Simon M, Simon W, Sarah, Zahi, Mark Andrew, Warren, Marc, Alan, Khalid, Brad, John Houmes, Alex and many more.

Salaar has enjoyed playing his part in B/R's growth and believes the network and especially my beloved World Football Community have a long way to go (we are always growing)

He would also like to pay tribute to a group of B/R editors who've always improved his work, Dakota Rubin, Justin S, Sergei M, Stacey Rice, Claire B, Gracie L, Jeff Gorman, Alex Dimond, Dusan S and many more.

A special thanks to Alex (Zander) and RA (Ryan Alberti) for all their help, Salaar Shamsi is grateful to his fans and colleagues for their support.

Salaar Shamsi has been the creator of many famous B/R Series like "Who's The Best Of The Premier League", "Rules of Journalism", "World Football Round Tables" , "World Football Q & A's" and others.

If you wish to contact him for any problem or just to write in to our Round Table Discussions, email him at worldfootball@post.com (before sending the mail, alert him through a message on his bulletin board)

Welcome to Bleacher Report, I hope you enjoy my work and I hope you enjoy being a part of our ever growing community

  11. Hey Salaar

As football fans , many of us dream of being footballers like Pele and Maradona (the legends), thats okay, but I think its time we learn a few lessons from those little kids on the street in India , with their goalposts made of sticks and bricks and their old white shirts with 'Beckham' written on it with Felt Tip Pens.
