The self proclaimed "Leader of the Tito Ortiz fan club" is bringing the punishment to Bleacher Report. Ive got many opinions on football, mma, and boxing. I have been training kickboxing for over two years, hoping to fight soon. My wrestling and jiu jitsu needs work, but I'll get there. YouTube highlights coming soon!!!!!

I am hoping to obtain a degree in journalism.....................as soon as I finish the degree I'm already working on.

Hows it goin? Since your in the top 20 MMA writers Ive invited you to voice your opinion in the first community MMA rankings. Id like for you to please select your top 5 fighters in each division starting with lightweight and then make a top ten P4P ranking. Please keep the following in mind when making your rankings.

-Quality of opponents
-Division domination
-Fight consistency

Also keep in mind this is the best in the WORLD. not just the UFC. When your finished just post my profile page and I'll give you my email where you can send it in. Hopefully we can make this happen

I understand totally what you are saying about women's boxing. I am always hopeful that the sport will progress to a higher level. We are seeing better consistent matches as of late, and there are many of the very experienced amateurs joining the pros, that we did not have a few years ago. were setting up a group article on which mma org besides the UFC is best. Sengoku, Dream, and Strikeforce are taken. Affliction and EliteXC are two major ones left if you want to use them. Its cool if you want to come up with a different one too.

I'm eavesdropping here ... I like the articles you guys put together w/ a bunch of top MMA writer's opinions in them.

I like the couture/lesnar who would win and why article idea ... if you wanted to be more broad and less topical to current events you could do something like, what is the best base to come into MMA with? is it jitz? boxing? a form of karate? and why? I know rogan has stated in the past he thinks it's wrestling. I'd be interested in reading that one too.

Just a thought ...

The Kimbo idea has potential -- it'd certainly attract a lot of attention. I just think that we should stop writing articles about him. And to ask 'top ten heavyweight' seems too much. No one in their right mind would say that he will be. Better question would be, will Kimbo Slice ever by Elite XC HW champion (actually parallels nicely with the Brock article), but we can save that for another day, or someone elses article.

I really like the Brock/Couture idea and we can probably run with that. I'll put time into choosing writers, just a matter of deciding how many to use.

As for other ideas, I had an idea for one, like, who will be the next UFC LHW Champ? Or, who will be the next UFC LHW fighter to defend the championship? What do you think about that idea for a future one?

I want you to know that I did my research, read most of that MMA site in question and a few more, I read J.Michael's piece in question...which you didn't comment on either, I've been chatting up Ms. Willis quite a bit as we go back a ways now.

I did my homework and was ready to learn more...from you.

There are two aspects of professional sports, competition and politics, the MMA's competition is pretty much up front and uncomplicated, the politics? It's always over controlling the compitition one way or another, regardless of the sport.

Thank God that you are more awake than I am at this hour! And I wonder what happened to Robert's attempt to edit me? I tried to access my article and was notified that HE was editing it. I am completely worn out from trying to respond to readers' comments on the Dana article. Being half blind I sure have a hard time reading my laptop screen. I can never tell if a letter is an e or a or s, and anything with a double letter is hard to read too. Anyway, I hope I have it right now, but at least I know I can rely on you to keep me honest, so thanks again!

Yeah it wasn't originally like that. When I initially submitted it there was a web error and I lost the article. Luckily I had been copying while writing, but when I pasted it, the text came out as one big block. I wasn't entirely sure where all the breaks had been, so I planned to go back, read over and try to put them in.

Hey guy, don't gloat on me, but when you're right, you really are right! How was I to know that SI.com couldn't be trusted? Actually, although I like Tito, I am more concerned with the UFC paying all of their fighters better; that is the real reason I wrote the article. Hughes was paid one million to fight Thiago Alves and will get one million more for his fight with Serra. I am not sure how much Chuck Liddell gets paid, but as is the case with Matt Hughes, I doubt that he has to beg Dana for it, and neither should the other fighters.

Yeah the pride record sits somewhere arouund 70,000 or something like that. I'll take Silva too, but it's a tough one. I was just discussing this earlier and saw you pose the topic on Jon Grilz' page and figured I'd chime in. Admittedly, I'm still partial to boxing -mainly featherweight to middleweight- and am no expert when it comes to MMA, but from everything I've seen on live broadcasts and youtube, it seems that Silva has faced better competition recently. I'm not saying Fedor hasn't, but that's just my opinion.

I'm glad to see a boxing and MMA community growing on here and will have some boxing articles I will start finishing up and posting next month. Anyone that writes about or loves talking boxing, hit me up if haven't already done so. There's a lot of exciting fights coming up!

Ah, therein lies the challenge Bryan...

We'll try to give you some help on the recruiting end. In the meantime, I'd recommend cruising around the internet and becoming a member of various Boxing fan sites/message boards, and trying to recruit people from there to write articles on Bleacher Report.

So you don't come off as a spammer, it's important that you participate in a few threads before making your B/R pitch. And so the owners of these sites don't feel like you're trying to steal their users, make sure to explain that while __________ is great for having Boxing conversations, Bleacher Report has a unique offering as a place to write articles.

Let me know if you have further questions/need help finding some Boxing sites to get started on. Keep up the good work Bryan.

I wanted to let you know I will be stepping back a bit from bleacher report. I am going to start writing MMA articles and doing exclusive fighter interviews for an MMA web site (www.topgunmma.com).

I will only be writing articles for their site exclusively now, however, I will still post articles on bleacher report but it will be a brief summary followed by a hyperlink over to the topgunmma site. I will also continue to read everyones bleacher report articles, post comments, etc...

It's a pretty cool site. It is only about 1-2 months old right now. It has the standard current news and event info. The fighter statistics section is great for writing articles and the fighter rankings section is extremely detailed as well. Check it out if you get a chance.

If you haven't seen this fight check it out. I know you don't like BJJ Black Belts, but this Palhares guy is unreal. Seems to me like he has a serious chance of going places in the UFC middleweight division with his strength and jui-jitsu (and is perhaps the perfect guy to beat Anderson).

You were right and I was not so right. After the beating Silva put on Jardine I wouldn't mind seeing him fight rampage again. But what do you think about a Silva vs. Machida for #1 contender? I know you don't like to watch Machida, but at least it would make myself and everyone else who thinks Machida should get a shot to shut up.

Think nothing of it. It's doesn't bother me any. You are a fan of MMA and specifically Tito Ortiz. I don't have any problem with someone taking a stance and standing behind their opinion. This sport is filled with bandwagon jumpers, so it is nice to see someone stick to their guns.

I always like to hear your opinion on my and other articles so don't think that it bothers me if we see things differently.

The only things that bother me on the MMA posts are when articles are posted with some sort of authority but it is clear that the writer has no idea what they are talking about. It is more about stirring up the pot than making a legitimate post. And you are far from being that kind of person.

Thanks for the comment. I think that we hold athletes to a higher standard because they are always in the spotlight and thus made into heroes for our kids. These guys realize this when they join the NFL, and if they don't, they are naive.
