John 's Bio
My dream job would be GM of the Seattle SuperSonics. Now my dream is dead. So I will have to get Mark Cuban money, buy a team ( I don't care who) and move them back. Then I could be the Jerry Jones of the NBA. If I can't be the Sonics GM, then how about the Seahawks GM? If you couldn't tell by now I'm a Seattle sports fan who is passionate about the NBA and NFL, and I enjoy NCAAFB then NCAABB. After that I would call myself a tennis fan, then maybe a tie between baseball and boxing. Along with Seattle Sports I like the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I would like to go to the NBA All-Star weekend and Wimbledon. I like HS sports too.

Okay, well first of all dashes look like this—they're used to connect distinct yet related thoughts. We're talking about hyphen placement.
Basically, the time to hyphenate is when you're using a two-word phrase as an adjective. So, for example, Hardaway suffered a left-knee injury, which was of course an injury to his left knee. The worst-case scenario is what might happen in the worst case. See how the hyphen's placed?
We also use a hyphen i/r/t to streaks. Let's say Boston had an eight-game winning streak. We might say they had won eight straight games. But what is a straight game? Has Boston lost a few crooked games amidst the eight straight ones? But we would be clearer if we said the Celtics had won eight-straight games. Same with "consecutive."
It's acceptable to use a hyphen to connect a noun, which is why I left "stat-lines" unchanged. We could also use "stat lines" or "statlines," but I felt the hyphen conveyed the meaning with the least amount of confusion (especially given the "bizarre" modifier immediately preceding). Most of the time, though, I'll eliminate the hyphen, and either close the space if the new word doesn't look too funny, or leave it open if it does.

I got first choice of days and I knew Wednesday would be the best one.
Thursdays have the TNT games so there's a maximum of three games to write about so that's no fun.
Fridays and Saturdays suck because readership drops dramatically with football taking center stage and people out of their offices.
Sundays aren't bad but it would force me to watch basketball instead of football and nobody wants homework on the weekend.
Mondays aren't bad because there's more than a few games but not a full slate. But Monday nights are for football until January.
So it was between Tuesdays and Wednesdays and I went with Wednesdays because of the ESPN double-header. I liked having a couple games that every die-hard watched and they're usually games like last night's Miami/Portland and Houston/Phoenix games.
The other thing is that the Lakers have a lot of games on Tuesdays and I have season seats. So I would probably miss a lot of the other games on Tuesdays and be forced to read about them all after midnight.

You bet—gotta pretty good squad too: LBJ, Calderon, Al Jefferson, B. Roy, Big Z, Shaq, Maggette, Prince, Thaddeus Young, Peja, LaMarcus Alridge, Chandler, Sessions, and Marv Williams. Not bad?
