I think Jon would have more credibility and at least be able to discuss the matter intelligently. Currently, I am barely hanging on, and am not sure how I could handle publishing rankings when I have admitted I do not even understand them.

Hey Bro, did some homework, came up with my picks. I want to be totally honest Mike. Other than YouTube, my experience is limited to the UFC, WEC, and Pride from days of old. I dont have the vast knowledge of fighters that some of my friends here on BR do but I made an honest effort with what information I could find. I did what you said and based a lot of it on quality of opponants and the results of those fights. Hook me up with the address and Ill email them to you. I hope this works, and is remotely accurate. IF not I totally appologize, first time doing somethign like this.

That's true, Mike,

The UFC definitely does not have the best fighters. And when Pride FC was sold, I don't know where half their fighters wound up.

I'm not familiar with many of these new organizations that have been cropping up like crabgrass.
I guess the big question here is: how much time do I have?

Mike, Im glad to participate and honored to even be considered top 20 with all the knowledgable fans here on BR. That being said I can put something up monday at the earliest. I will be away from my computer all weekend bro. If you must, pass me up and get another contributor, I understand the need to expidite this. I wanted FOTN but I still got what I wanted I have to admit. Garcia is one of my favs and Im happy he won. Now with the KO of Faber it wont be so hard to root for Garcia if he gets a shot at that belt. My predictions may not have been on but the idea of fireworks came to fruitioin. Great fights other than Sonnen-Filho. Not at all what I expected. Again, only in MMA.

Almost 30,000. I think alot more goes into ranking then reads though. I think comments posted/recieved have alot to do with it. Also, I also try to edit people's articles because they say that it affects your ranking. Also, how many POTD's you get as well as your average star rating per article (they dont have a place where they track average article star rating but I think they should).

Another big thing is the "official editors" that work for BR. If they like your work they can really boost your standings. I had one editor comment on my work and the next thing I know it was on the front page of the MMA website. So that is how the quality of the writing can really boost your ratings.

And now I will go read your latest article =)

Fedor Emelianenko VS. seven Shoalin Monks (a real one's) in an unsanctioned, no gloves, no rules, and no time limit battle in a circular cage. The fight should be refereed only to prevent death. Seven Monks assembled and ready for a best four out of seven playoff with two-days in between each fight.

This is not a joke. I once saw a Youtube'd fight between a very capable Karate expert and a Shoalin Monk of about the same size. The refereed fight took place in a boxing ring sometime in the 1950's, and it was not staged. Basically, the Monk blocked every single strike, but he retreated more than he advanced. Actually, neither guy landed a clean shot. (The fight was cut off at about the 55-second mark). The film was grainy and in black-and-white, and I guess the opening minute or so was the only piece not destroyed of the original film.

And when you're done laughing, consider Anderson Silva not cutting his usual 25 or so pounds before every fight and taking on Fedor Emelianenko. That lucrative match-up would be too big for even Dana White to keep from happening!

no bro, go ahead and read the very first thing I wrote on hear, check out nay other forum I am on.... My other article on here, barely talks about the fighter, it talks about the human,not the guy who had his job in a cage.... That was a straight up copy and paste job, as stated my mmafanatic.com of which I DO NOT write for. I picked uop the story from MMA Weekly, which their news is pretty spot on. As I stated before, I had asked friends some not even into MMA , NOT to do anything for me on my bday, the 17th, but to send what they could to his brothers address as stated in the posted email from mmafanatics, label it "Team Tanner" ..
