  1. Hey David

As football fans , many of us dream of being footballers like Pele and Maradona (the legends), thats okay, but I think its time we learn a few lessons from those little kids on the street in India , with their goalposts made of sticks and bricks and their old white shirts with 'Beckham' written on it with Felt Tip Pens.

thanks for reading & hope you feel the same way about football as I do

    cheers

  2. Hi David,

I've taken a look through some of the people on the site who are Spurs supporters and who regularly contribute Spurs stories and I think we're on our own.

I've been asked to become our Community Leader, would you be interested in giving me a hand? If you are could you let me know.

    Thanks,

    Willie

  4. True David, very true. I guess the impact of TV coverage is more visible lower down the leagues — in the Championship the money clubs receive for live TV coverage now only just about covers the loss of ticket income (as so many fans stay at home to watch it).

If all matches were televised, of course the big clubs would be fine (they always are) but I would worry that eventually fans will stay away — why pay £2000 a year for a season ticket (or whatever it is nowadays) when you could pay £20 a month and watch everything at home?

As I said, a complex subject — and one that you covered very well. I totally agree it is a joke that foreign countries get to see games we do. I just think that if we don't get them, they shouldn't either — rather than because they get them, we should too.

  5. Hi David. Do you think this could be one of the best matches this season?
