Danny 's Bio

Danny "Gonzo" Burnham is a freelance writer from Rome, Georgia. He has been a high school football , wrestling, and track coach for the last four years and uses that perspective to tell a different kind of story about a game, or when writing feature about an athlete or coach.

His bylines have appeared in such newspapers as the Tampa Tribune, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Daytona Beach News-Journal, and the Ft. Myers News-Press. He also assisted the World Indoor Football League P.R. department in 2007 as a writer for league and team websites, and as a color analyst on game webcasts.

Sports is his primary area, but occaisionally he ventures outside of the sports world to write about politics, or current events.

His goal is to write "3-D" stories and he uses Bleacher Report to sharpen his skills as a writer.
