1 - Alan Bass
Writer bio
I'm very simple: I love to write, and I love hockey more than anything in the world. My world and my life revolves around hockey. My work revolves around what time the game is on TV. Hockey is a priority. That's it. Hockey is a priority.
I am currently attending Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. I will be majoring in psychology and minoring in business. This is to answer all questions about whether or not I want to go into journalism. No I don't, but my first year seminar was a journalism class, and I plan on taking other classes like this.
I am first a hockey fan, THEN a Flyers' fan.
My dream is to go into hockey management, and one can easily see why through all of my hockey articles.
I currently co-host a weekly radio show called NHL 2Day along with Ken Armer, ...

Where do I begin? I'm a seventeen year old die-hard fan of the New York Rangers and San Francisco Giants. I was born in Staten Island, New York before moving to New Jersey when I was five years old. I've been watching hockey for as long as I can remember and first remember understanding the sport and rooting for the Rangers when I was seven years old and Wayne Gretzky, my idol was playing at Madison Square Garden. I go to as many games as I can but wish I was a season ticket holder so I could see...

I love the Pittsburgh Penguins, nothing more needs to be said. I've been a die hard fan since I was old enough to understand sports in general. I went to my first game when I was 5 years old, and have been hooked ever since.
Like a typical Pittsburgh sports fan, I hate all things Philadelphia, most especially the Flyers. I'm usually not the typical run-of-the-mill writer when it comes to sports, so if I say something to offend you or your team, please don't take it personally. Unless of course that team is based out of Philadelphia, then by all means, do take it personally, because it is.
I used to watch football all day long, every Sunday, until about two or three years ago when it suddenly became just plain boring to me. I realized that the time I was spending watching players ...

8 - Matt Eichel
Writer bio
Hailing from the small Northwestern Ontario home of Chris Pronger in Dryden, 22 year-old Matt Eichel has been obsessed with the game of hockey since he was seven years old. A hard-core Montreal Canadiens fan, he has followed the team since seeing the Canadiens 1993 Stanley Cup victory with his dad, a big reason he's a Habs fan.
Matt is currently studying at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Kinesiology & Recreation Management with the goal of graduating with a Bachelor of Physical Education. Matt also graduated from Providence College (in Manitoba) with a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies. Journalism is a secret passion for Matt, one he almost made his career.

I am from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and I run a sports blog at overtim.blogspot.com
I played hockey since I was 5 years old both as a player and a goalie. First as a goalie for my first 5 or 6 years, then as a player for 4 years to finally go back to good old goaltending since.
Goaltending is my forte as I am currently (secretly) training for next season.
I am not talking about NHL here right off the bat, just relax hehehe...
But am sure will be looking for a pro training camp come next june/july/august. I am browsing different european leagues and north american leagues right now.
A coaching position is of course kept for later, once my physical abilities as a player will be obsolete. I am 34 years old and if Hasek can do it at 42-43ish I damn sure can for as long as h...

Writer bio
Dan was born in Armenia, but moved to Montreal when he was two. As a child, he learned to love hockey, or maybe there’s just something they put in the water there to make everyone a Habs fan.
Dan owns a cat, who is extremely white, fluffy and old. He is proudly addicted to
Coach’s Corner,Family Guy and the Simpsons. He has a niece who will be a heartbreaker princess and he hopes he will never have to go to jail on her behalf.
As a result of being a Habs fan, he met his best friend, who also writes for Bleacher Report. He thinks she’s an amazing hockey historian and sincerely hopes her brain won’t explode from all of the history she’s got stuffed in there. Dan wrote his profile in the third person because that’s how Kovalev would do it.
As for the rest…blah, blah, blah. Is t...

Writer bio
My name is Rafal Ladysz and I'm a journalism student at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. I've always liked writing about sports of any sort and this will serve me good for the future. Hockey, soccer and tennis are what I enjoy writing about most.
I'm a huge Buffalo Sabres fan, and the amount of heartbreaks this city has experienced is just unreal. Ilya Kovalchuk and Marian Gaborik are my two favourite players. I've had a few NHL articles published on CBS Sports and I'm really proud of that.
I'm Polish, and our soccer squad has been through quite a few disappointments of their own. In the end, I hope to become a sportswriter but it will be challenging.

I have always been a Maple Leafs fan, but it was just three years ago when I became a major, die hard fan.
My iPod consists of things from Maple Leafs' games, to the Maple Leafs' goal song. I never miss a game wether I am at it, or watching it on TV. When there is no Leafs game on you can normally find my TV doing one of two things: playing NHL 09 (I'm the one actually playing it), or on TSN/Leafs TV/NHL Network/Rogers Sportsnet.
In my hometown, you are one of three things: A Leafs fan, or of course, a Habs or Sens fan.
I would eventually like to get into sports journalism or sports broadcasting. From doing one of those two things, I would like to become a play-by-play guy for the Maple Leafs (of course), or work for a channel like TSN (again, of course). Yes, I do realize that...

Hey, I'm Andrew Echevarria. I'm currently 14, and am in my freshmen year in highschool. I'm from Mississauga. Growing up in Mississauga was great because you had a Leafs community around you and you could discuss topics regarding the Leafs.
3 years ago, I moved to Vancouver, BC...it was harder to discuss topics regarding the Leafs...but I still managed to have my hockey crave satisfied by just talking about the NHL and hockey in general...then came the big test...
Months ago, I moved to Santiago, Chile (for all those people who don't know where it is, think south...think near Antarctica....)

Jim Neveau is an aspiring sports-writer with many opinions and a penchant for taking unpopular viewpoints. He is a man who appreciates all sports, but the two dueling loves of his sports life are Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League.
He is the quintessential die-hard fan, suffering (happily) with the delusion that the Cubs will one day win that elusive World Series, while at the same time supporting the Blackhawks, a team that hasn't won a championship since 1961, 37 years and 24 more NHL teams ago.
Besides his twin Windy City infatuations, Jim also keeps tabs (and rooting interests) for the Bears, Suns, Bulls, and Coyotes. He is also a season ticket holder for Illinois football, and also supports Illinois and DePaul equally in all collegiate sports.

I'm 28 years old. I live in Montreal so obviously I'm a Canadiens fan. Well, I support all canadian teams.
Aside from hockey, I've been a film and art student but I presently work in a boring call center.
I've loved hockey for as far as I can remember. My mom introduced me to hockey when I was about 6 years old and I've been a fan since. My furthest memory is the Canadiens winning the Stanley Cup against Calgary in 86.
I've been following stats, games, players and pretty much anything related to hockey very seriously for the last 10 years. I visit at least 9 or 10 hockey related websites everyday and keep up on all the news and rumours.
I'm a huge believer that a successful franchise comes from great drafting so I try to know as much as possible about upcoming prospects and watch t...

I was born and raised in a small Canadian town, and instead of growing up like a standard girl my love for sports kept expanding. I played softball during highschool until grade 10 (then there wasn't enough to make a team). Hockey has always been my game though. In our family you either choose to be a Habs fan, or a Leafs fan. I chose the Habs.
Saku Koivu is my hero, long before his battle with cancer, He's my inspiration in so many ways.
I have a dream to be a part of the NHL. Maybe it will never happen, but writing on this website gives me some hope and makes me feel like I am a part of it (except when unnecessary things are said).
I took a class called Sports Economics, which I feel has already improved my understand of the league of sports even more!

A third generation Cubs fan raising a fourth who appreciate good baseball when I see it; only cheers against the White Sox when they're playing the Cubs. Wishes the Bulls would stop rebuilding, hit puberty, and win. Wishes the Bears would drop the Cover 2 and play defense like men.
