Writer bio

My dream job would be GM of the Seattle SuperSonics. Now my dream is dead. So I will have to get Mark Cuban money, buy a team ( I don't care who) and move them back. Then I could be the Jerry Jones of the NBA. If I can't be the Sonics GM, then how about the Seahawks GM? If you couldn't tell by now I'm a Seattle sports fan who is passionate about the NBA and NFL, and I enjoy NCAAFB then NCAABB. After that I would call myself a tennis fan, then maybe a tie between baseball and boxing. Along with Seattle Sports I like the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I would like to go to the NBA All-Star weekend and Wimbledon. I like HS sports too.

11 - Robert Kleeman

Writer bio

Robert Kleeman is a recent UT-Austin graduate who plans to pursue dual teaching and writing careers. I am a newspaper reporter and consider this an important distinction when differentiating the parts that comprise "the media." I believe in what newspapers do, even when the content needs improvement, because a lesser-informed public spells the apocalypse.

Pick up your local newspaper and read the front page instead of flipping instantly to the sports or comics sections.

What am I doing writing for Bleacher Report? Less than 10 years ago, I was a Houston Astros and Houston Rockets fan who did not understand the difference between a curveball and a slider or what merited a foul. My fandom of the Rockets, Astros and San Antonio Spurs has skyrocketed since then with my knowl...

12 - Thomas Halzack

Writer bio

It all started on a message board. Actually I've had a frustrated writer inside me for years.

Celtic fan. UConn fan (and alma mater). I saw Bill Russell play in his later years.

As a small child, even then, mentally juxtaposing the change from the platonic late 50's to the chaotic, dynamic cultural changes of the sixties was a wild ride. Sports was a big part of it then as it is now. As with songs, you marked periods of your life with certain sports events.

Me? A doer of many things. renaissance man with a small 'r'. I wish I had time to do and read much more than I do. Something called work gets in the way every day. Don't ask. I won't tell.

I write better than I played. I think better than I write. But I played a lot. I mean basketball on local school courts. Dead of wi...

13 - Mark Brown

Writer bio

My name is Mark Brown. I'm 14 years old and have been completely in love with basketball since I was 10 years old, when I saw Steve Nash hit a three pointer against Dallas in Game 6 of the 2005 Western Conference Finals. Since then, I have followed the game and have grown to love everything about it.

I have no idea why I chose to make my profile name LALALA, but I really regret it. It makes me look like an idiot, but oh well, we all have our regrets in life.

Scratch that, I just changed that. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: MY PROFILE NAME "MARK" USED TO BE "LALALA", BUT I HAVE CHANGED IT.

Writer bio

I am 25 years old, I live in Northern Virginia, and in real life I am a newspaper reporter. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in English, and I was a substitute teacher for a few months before becoming a writer.

I am somewhat of an oddity as a sports fan. I love the Boston Red Sox and I hate the New York Yankees. I love the New York Giants and I hate the Dallas Cowboys. I love the Dallas Mavericks and I hate the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors, and the Miami Heat.

My favorite players are Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Youkilis and Eli Manning in approximately that order. I think Alex Rodriguez, Tony Romo and Dwyane Wade should burn in hell. I don't like Tim Duncan, but goddamit I respect him.

Writer bio

I love sports. I enjoy writing. Seems like sports journalism is a good job for me haha. I'm mainly a basketball fan but still watch lots of football and keep up with baseball. As far as other sports, I know most things, but not really big fans of them.

My favorite teams are the Warriors, Nets, Raiders, and San Fransisco Giants. Michael Jordan is my all time favorite NBA player. Vince Carter and Dwyane Wade are my current favorites.

Hi everyone. The name is Pete "The Greek" Treperinas. I'm 17 years old and I'm a senior at Shorewood High School. I live in Seattle, and consider myself a die-hard Seahawks, Mariners, Sonics (RIP), and Oregon Ducks fan. Someday I hope to pursue a career in broadcasting or journalism. Now that the Sonics are gone I'm a Blazers fan, so we'll try that this year and see how it goes. It feels pretty weird not having a team up here in Seattle though. My ultimate goal here at B/R is to become a senior writer.

30 - Jason Coldiron

Writer bio

I've lived in the Sacramento area for about 30 years. I grew up going to A's and Kings games with my Dad. I can remember when the Kings moved to town. I grew up rooting for the Kings, A's and 49ers and still do, as hometown blood runs deep. I watch and live sports for the great memories and incredible feats I've witnessed. I am a bit bitter at Jose Canseco for tainting my childhood memories with his cheating. When it comes to writing about sports I try to be as objective as possible, while still telling it like I see it and having insight of my own.

Hey, internet! Quick facts: I'm currently living in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. It's about an hour north of Milwaukee, where I'm planning on moving to after I find a real job to go along with my internship for the Milwaukee Wave indoor soccer team.

I'm a graduate from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse class of '06, and then spent two years there as a television news reporter. It was fun, but ultimately wasn't for me. So in the meantime, I'm working on my blog, www.thebuckychannel.com, and planning my next move.

Also, I would like to use this space to thank my friend Brett Berenz, who helps me write The Bucky Channel, and is responsible for many of the Bucks articles that will be posted here.

Born in 1983 in the suburbs of chicago. I have been raised on the real Chicago Sports teams. That means I carry the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, and Hawks in my gut and I despise and take great joy in the follies of America's most pathetic sports franchise, the Chicago flubs. I went to UCLA and am a season ticket holder for basketball and football.

Hi, my name is Isaac Barrow. I was born January 28, 1993 in Rockville, Maryland. As long as I can remember, I've been a sports freak. I have a really good memory, so I can remember stats. Dallas Native of 40+ years. Starting watching sports with my dad, when I was big enough to set in his lap.
You see I grew up when the Dallas Cowboys Were in Dallas. Dallas had only 1 pro sport team then, and we liked it. Those of you from Dallas will reconize this, I'm what you call a 'Grove Rat'.

My first sports love is the Cowboys, although i've been uninspired to write about them yet. Was infatuated with the Rangers. That lasted till Tom Hicks bought them. My current focus is mostly Mavericks. Basketball is such a thrill.

Anyway, I have a weird understanding of football and basketball. I mean, I'm not like most girls. I understand in detail what going on with the game. Sometime more than the guys I'm watching it with.

I am a Senior at a small college in the beautiful mountains of east Tennessee. I love sports! I am a die hard fan of the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Throughout my life my teams have disappointed me (with the exception of the Bulls back when I was really young) and left me feeling no hope at the end of the season. I am in my junior year at Yale University, where I write and edit sports for the Yale Herald, the school's weekly paper.

As my picture shows, I used to play sports in high school: I played basketball and baseball. I like to think of myself as "retired."

I've lived in New York City all my life, but for some inexplicable reason my dad was a huge Pittsburgh Pirate fan when I was growing up, and now I am too. I have New York Jets season tickets and am also a big Knicks and Rangers fan. My dad also brought me up as a big Tennessee Volunteers fan, and after watching almost every game of the 2006 World Cup I have adopted soccer as my fifth sport and am an ardent Liverpool supporter.

I am always open to any feedback you have regarding any of my articles, or anything you would...
