Back and (hopefully :D) better than ever!

Welcome, welcome one and all to the Jen Preston homepage on Bleacher Report!

Born and raised a die-hard NASCAR fan just outside KCMO, my dream is to become a NASCAR journalist, so I can spread the latest news to NASCAR fans everywhere! I am also a HUGE Denver Broncos, New York Yankees, and WWE fan, so you may see me venture off to those pages from time to time.

A proud graduate of the class of 2009 ('09 so fine!), I'm hoping to get the money to go to college- pretty sure on my choice (finally!)-to major in journalism and minor in public relations. Who knows, you could be reading my stuff on an even bigger stage someday. Attempting to get my career going, I'm on my high school newspaper's staff as a sports writer and am also in the sp...

9 - D-Boy

Writer bio

Just an auto mechanic from Ohio(you won't get me to be more specific than that! Bad past experiences have taught me to be careful about how much I reveal about myself) with a passion for racing.

My friends call me D-Boy, feel free to call me this as well if you'd like. There's an interesting story as to why I have a nickname ripped straight from an anime series, but I won't bother with telling it here. But suffice it to say, I was feared in high school, even though I wasn't a bully.

I once raced a 1999 Swift CART chassis in vintage formula racing, but will soon be switching to amateur-level sports prototypes, running a Chiron LMP3(after finding I liked its handling characteristics more than those of a Ligier JS49). My racing endeavors are mostly funded by my boss - very good man, ...

10 - Crabber 1967 .

Writer bio

First Cup race attended: the 1963 World 600. I'm on the Lower Peninsula of Virginia. My Dad built race cars for the local tracks (he was an owner/builder, not a driver) until I was about 4 years old. (Someone once told me many years later that Dad's 1950 Mercury street car was the "fastest car on the Peninsula!" All I know for sure is that Mom usually told Dad to 'slow down.') Dad and his brother-in-law decided that the idea of "if one is good, two are better" was NOT a good idea. Dad said one of the cars always seemed to be broken. So they sold all the racing cars and Mom and Dad bought the house I lived and grew up in. How I wound up joining Dad and his buddies for the 1963 World 600 is a story in itself; but from then on I usually was part of the crew heading to t...

I currently work at a tri-weekly newspaper in my home town — www.GalaxGazette.com — where I am a news reporter first and a sports reporter second... OK, I wish it were the other way around, but I cover news 40 hours a week and sports about 5.

I joined B/R in December 2008 to help get my articles and name out there even more. I run my own blog — http://sports101.today.com — where I have a chance to write about and say whatever I want to. I just started blogging in early December, and am hoping one day I'll be a NASCAR writer full-time...

I'd love to have one of the jobs where I travel to every race, work for a couple da...
