To recap from yesterday’s post:

“My dream is Barca, but to say that isn’t new. The whole world knows that I have dreamed forever about going to Barca.”—Andrei Arshavin, July 18, 2008.

“The stable situation in the club and the influence of Arsene Wenger to Arsenal to English football is huge. I think this is an advantage.”—Arshavin’s agent, Dennis Lachter, July 14, 2008.

  • B/R Ticket Guide

“I am very optimistic about this deal. The next few days will see if he can confirm this move to Spurs. Andrei likes the way Juande Ramos is going to play at Tottenham and this is the main point of our decision.”—Dennis Lachter, July 31, 2008.

“I don’t want to play for Zenit any more. Playing for Bayern is a dream.”—Andrei Arshavin, Nov. 19, 2008.

“The club that is best suited to sign Andrei at the moment is Real Madrid.”—Dennis Lachter, Nov. 20, 2008.

And 24 hours later:

“He is being followed in England, Italy, and Spain. Several things are happening, but we have had no concrete offers. Real Madrid are in pole position but we have not entered into any negotiations.”

So just to be clear, Arshavin wants to go to Barcelona, Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern, and Real Madrid, with Real Madrid being the most likely destination, except for England, Italy, or another club in Spain, despite the fact that a precise number of zero offers have been officially tabled.

Now it all makes sense!
