1 (1) Tennessee Titans (10-0)
Kerry Collins is reminding people that he's not just a game manager.
2 (2) New York Giants (9-1)
The Giants' running backs made Baltimore's defense look like Detroit's.
3 (3) Carolina Panthers (8-2)
Speaking of which, Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams combined for 250 yards and three scores against the Lions on Sunday.
4 (5) Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3)
One of my fantasy teams was robbed of a victory this past week when the referees incorrectly negated Pittsburgh's defensive touchdown at the end of the game. I watch a lot of football every Sunday, and each week my suspicions are confirmed that no one in the NFL has any idea what the rules are.
5 (8) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3)
The Bucs improved to 5-0 at home with their victory over the Vikings.
6 (13) New York Jets (7-3)
Betting tip of the week: take the Titans -6 at home against the Jets.
7 (7) Arizona Cardinals (7-3)
In their only loss, the Giants allowed Braylon Edwards to torch their secondary for 154 yards and a score. The G-Men face Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald this week.
8 (10) Indianapolis Colts (6-4)
Watch out, that's three straight for the Colts.
9 (6) Washington Redskins (6-4)
The 'Skins didn't show up in the second half against Dallas.
10 (4) Atlanta Falcons (6-4)
Neither did the Falcons' defense.
11 (11) Baltimore Ravens (6-4)
Last week, I told you not to get too excited about the Ravens, because the six teams they've beaten have a combined record of 17-35. At least that record improved to 20-37-1.
12 (16) Miami Dolphins (6-4)
That's four straight for the Fins.
13 (12) New England Patriots (6-4)
You can't win the AFC East if you can't beat the Jets at home.
14 (15) Dallas Cowboys (6-4)
Tony Romo was throwing ducks, but Marion Barber and the Dallas "D" were there to save the day against Washington.
15 (20) Denver Broncos (6-4)
I thought Matt Ryan would throw for 350 yards on the Denver secondary. He only had 250, and the Broncos handed the Falcons their first home loss.
16 (14) Philadelphia Eagles (5-4-1)
On Sunday, Philly became the city of sisterly love.
17 (18) Minnesota Vikings (5-5)
Worst...
18 (19) Green Bay Packers (5-5)
...division...
19 (9) Chicago Bears (5-5)
...in football.
20 (21) New Orleans Saints (5-5)
Congratulations, you won your first road game. But it was against Kansas City, so I'm not sure it counts.
21 (23) Cleveland Browns (4-6)
I've never seen Romeo Crennel actually speak.
22 (17) Buffalo Bills (5-5)
I love when teams get the ball to the 34-yard line and then make very little attempt to advance the ball any further because, you know, a 47- to 51-yard field goal is easy to make in Buffalo.
23 (22) San Diego Chargers (4-6)
I'd say the Chargers are done, but they only have to get past the Broncos to make the playoffs.
24 (24) Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6)
The Jaguars, on the other hand, are done.
25 (25) Houston Texans (3-7)
The Texans fell to 0-5 on the road with their loss at Indy.
26 (26) Oakland Raiders (2-8)
A late rally fell short at Miami.
27 (27) Kansas City Chiefs (1-9)
YOU PLAY TO LOSE THE GAME.
28 (28) Seattle Seahawks (2-8)
The Hawks scored 13 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to come back against the Cardinals.
29 (30) San Francisco 49ers (3-7)
The Niners three wins are against the three worst teams in the NFL.
30 (29) St. Louis Rams (2-8)
The Rams have given up 75 points in the first half of their past two games.
31 (31) Cincinnati Bengals (1-8-1)
A tie's as good as a win in Cincy.
32 (32) Detroit Lions (0-10)
The Lions would kill for a tie.

How is the nfc north the worst division in football?
28 (28) Seattle Seahawks (2-8) CRAP
29 (30) San Francisco 49ers (3-7) CRAP
30 (29) St. Louis Rams (2-8) CRAP
R U KIDDING ME???
7 (7) Arizona Cardinals (7-3) Team that beats all the CRAP
4-0 against nfc west...3-3 against everyone else.

It's close between the NFC North and West. In fact, the North is even a game better overall (15-25 vs 14-25) and out of division (7-17 vs. 6-18), but without a single team over .500 and a last place team that hasn't won a single game, I'm saying the North is still slightly worse right now.

So had the Raiders held on against Miami, would that have put them in the Top 20?
from about 1 month ago
If the Raiders held on, I'd probably have them at 24, right behind the Chargers because they lost to them. Can't be top 20 at 3-7.

Falcons @10, Broncos @15. WTF? Broncs just beat ATL.
from about 1 month ago
I agree, Atlanta has improved but they are not there yet
from about 1 month ago
You have a point because they're both 6-4 but I'm still having a hard time getting past how bad Denver's defense looked in their previous four games. I moved the Broncos up five spots and Atlanta down six. If Denver can win its next three against Oakland, Jets and Kansas City, they'll move back into the top 10.

If the Titans beat the Jets this week, then I'll begin believing in them

Never thought I would hear that.

Since when are the J-E-T-S Bretts Bretts Bretts the litmus test for NFL teams???

And I think you could make a case that the AFC West is the worst division in Football. Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers. Any division where the third runner up still has a shot, although they are 3-7, has got to be pretty bad. The entire division only has 13 wins, the worst in the NFL. NFC North has 15.

titans will lose 1st game this week jets will cover!!! 13-2-1 last week believe it! lol good article but i have to differ on a couple rankings! falcons and ravens playing better than washington. washington s offense looks anemic at times. tampa bay two spots too high. need more offense from the bucs too! running back trouble with graham out!

Did anyone else notice that you have to get all the way down to number 21 on this list to find a team that isn't ranked according to its record? I mean, do you really think that all the 7-win teams are better than all the 6-win teams? Or that all the 6-win teams are better than all the 5-win teams? These are power rankings.
from about 1 month ago
If you look back at my rankings from previous weeks, you'll see that they've never been so closely related to the team's record but with the parity between teams 4 to 20, that's how it worked out this week.
