I feel better than I did two weeks ago.

Call me a mindless homer, but before Brady went down I thought 16-0 was possible.  Look at the schedule.  There are like four or five "tough" games.  I thought winning the "tough" games was possible.

When Brady went down I figured four losses.

After the Miami game, I wondered if I was fooling myself.

Today, Miami is 2-2 and that loss looks less horrible.  Still bad, but maybe Miami was good, not like KC of the East.

Then I look around at the schedule.  A wounded San Diego?  A wounded Indy?  Denver lacks a defense.  Pittsburgh might be tough, but that will be when the toll on Roethlesberger is high.  The Bills and Cardinals look like they might be "tough" games, oddly enough.  All are tough, but winning is possible.

I know I'm a fan and it doesn't matter, but I won't look ahead, though I just did.  Four or five losses still seems reachable.

Then in the playoffs the good teams start.  Let's not even think about that.

  1. 9-7 is my pick. Losses to: Chargers, Colts, Bills, Steelers, Broncos, Dolphins
    This is not a hater either, this is a Pats fan. They barely miss the playoffs. Sorry I just don't like the chances of a team that struggles to beat the Chiefs, Jets, and 49ers.
