Wow, this article made me have a flashback to the early 1980's when I was at SMU. Yes, we did have the best college football team money could buy... and we paid for it with the Death Penalty for two years.
You're right, RTC, I haven't seen anything like the SMU fiasco in years. Kinda makes me wonder what 's going on... In the past we could count on major football programs to throw each other under the bus for a little NCAA review entertainment. Could it be that maybe it's just a case of not looking to closely into someone else’s back yard in case the other eyes begin to peer into yours... I hope not but with half the colleges in the US making recruiting trips to the Miami area to tap into that talent gold mine you gotta wonder...

I still don't see how the NCAA can crack down on Roy giving GRADUATED players gifts but there is no rule that you can't hire a guys dad or coach to get him to play at your school. Pathetic.
