Just a preface to this series: I am not pulling a BT and writing a season preview for every team in the league, because I do not have nearly enough time to do that. I am doing season previews for the five Atlantic Division teams, as those are the five teams that I know the best.

I hate preseason for one reason: The Pens defense is ravaged now (although we knew about Whitney beforehand), and it makes the division a bit closer, offering some aspects of the team for opponents to expose.
I don't know if I'd put them second if I had the chance to re do my rankings, but after finding out Gonchar is out until March, I'm not sure if I'd just hand the Pens anything.
Detroit showed us that defense is everything, so I'm intrigued to say the least to see how this turns out.
Glad to see you're done showing me up Alan :P haha

Hossa just played ok in the playoffs? 3rd in playoff scoring, a defensive freak, and almost singlehandedly pushed it to a game 7. Your right he was just ok.

Hossa played well, but did not single-handedly do anything. My point is that the team performed very well without him for 90% of the season, and they will continue to do so.

Haha thanks, Miah. And yes, I think a hangover will make them finish second.
